Roberts Tool & Die was initially founded in 1984 to design, build and maintain tools and dies for local manufacturers. In 1987 Roberts Tool & Die Company established a CNC lathe and CNC milling division which were then followed by wire EDM operations. Roberts Tool & Die Company’s growth and expansion continued in 1990 to a second plant, Graves Street, where metal stamping and manufacture provided products to regional and national customers in the automotive, transportation, farm implement, appliance, and home and commercial construction industries. Today, Roberts Tool & Die Company has three divisions complimenting each other, Tool & Die, CNC Machining and Stampings. The Company’s primary goal is to continue to grow and prosper within the industry, where quality and satisfaction requirements are mutually beneficial to both entities meeting strict customer specifications and tolerances by measuring itself through a comprehensive Quality Assurance program / ISO 9001: 2008.
Roberts Tool & Die Company is a proud member of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the National Tooling & Machining Association.
Environmental issues comprise a natural part of our daily operations, and an important element in the Roberts Tool & Die strategic direction and brand.
RTD’s mission includes focusing on products that improve the environment. We currently have a number of development projects under way in which the products will have very tangible positive environmental effects.
The RTD environmental policy is based on a lifecycle perspective, which minimizes the total environment impact of the manufacturing, use and disposal of our products.
